Security
This process is completely secure since:
-
All Person Identifiable Information (PII) will be removed or de-identified by means of a key-based encryption before the data leaves your hospital.
-
Transfer of data is TLS encrypted (HTTPS).
-
GDPR and HIPAA regulations are applied when handling PHI.
-
icometrix’ information security management system is ISO27001 certified.
Incoming DICOM files are pseudonymised according to HIPAA regulation.
All fields containing person identifiable information are removed.
The following data is kept to be able to provide a correct analysis and compare the patient with a healthy population:
-
Patient Gender
-
Patient Birth Year: birth date is transformed to YYYY-01-01
By default remote access to the icobridge interface is disabled. To have modality operators or other technical personnel, who have no or limited access to the server, use the client, remote access needs to be configured.
It is recommended to restrict access by means of basic authentication and to secure the remote connection by using TLS.
The icobrain portfolio consists of disease-specific reports for various neurological disorders including multiple sclerosis, dementia, traumatic brain injury, stroke, and epilepsy. icobrain mr is a CE-marked and FDA-cleared software as a medical device. icometrix is ISO13485, MDSAP and ISO27001 certified.
The MRI technologist will acquire the regular MRI scan of your brain. Afterwards, the AI-based icobrain ms software processes your scan to measure specific structures and changes thereof in your brain. The software generates a report and color codes the images for the radiologist to read and your neurologist to review. You will not experience any changes from a usual MRI scan, as the software will automatically run in the background. Your doctor will review the images and report, and will make any final decisions regarding your care using both the icobrain ms report as well as other factors.
